Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinate the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other building systems. They are responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed.
The Maintenance Supervisor hires workers, organizes schedules and assigns work activity. They may perform training to ensure individuals have all the requisite skills. Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing maintenance procedures and maintaining personnel records. Apply problem-solving techniques to maximize operating efficiencies. Assist in troubleshooting of equipment failure to determine root causes. Monitor quality, efficiency, safety, and documentation of maintenance work performed.
Candidates should possess a high school or trade school diploma; Minimum of 3 years related maintenance experience preferred, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. The position requires experience with business computer systems and software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google. Desirable applicants have completed industry training in HVAC. Experience in Section 8 is a plus. Must be able to pass credit and criminal background check.
